Ben Affleck Still Playing Coy About Playing Batman After ‘Justice League’

This is just getting tedious now. The ongoing will-he-or-won’t-he pendulum that swings for Ben Affleck‘s future as Batman really needs to land on one side or the other. Even though the actor’s own brother doesn’t think he’ll wear the cowl again, Affleck continues to play coy about his future in the DCEU. He’s become an expert at not answering a direct question, and once again, he has effectively shrugged his shoulders about whether he’s done playing Batman or not.

Doing the circuit for “Justice League,” Affleck hit “Extra TV” with co-stars Jason Momoa and Ray Fisher, and when asked how many pictures he has left on his contract — he’s done three so far, if you include his cameo in “Suicide Squad” along with “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice” and “Justice League” — Affleck remained evasive.

“I don’t know about that. We’ll see what the future holds,” he replied when the interviewer suggested he’d done three out of rumored five gigs.

My guess? Affleck is waiting to see what the reaction is to “Justice League.” If it’s once again a critical flop — which some are already predicting — my guess is that he’ll be gone. However, with no other “Justice League” movies on the horizon, he could always keep the door open to returning, especially if the brand gets a better reputation as it starts sorting itself out.

Either way, only Affleck knows if he wants to do more and, for right now, he’s not talking. [via CBR]
