Brie Larson's New 'Captain Marvel' Picture Features A Hidden Phone Sex Hotline Number

Whether you like it or not, Hollywood figures came out in full force over the last week to encourage folks to get out and vote in yesterday’s mid-term election in the US. These endorsements and statements further fuel the fire of those that wish celebrities would leave their politics at the door. However, for these popular celebs, such as Brie Larson, it’s a way to not only encourage people to exercise their civic duty, but also do a clever bit of marketing. That being said, the most recent Instagram post from Larson promoting “Captain Marvel” and voting contains a very NSFW Easter Egg that we’re sure she had no clue about.

Yesterday, Larson went to Instagram to post a new behind-the-scenes picture from “Captain Marvel,” which shows the actress as the titular character in a phone booth (remember those?). The character is surrounded by ‘90s-era “Rock the Vote” signage/graffiti. But since we’re talking about a highly-anticipated Marvel Studios film, fans decided to break down the image and investigate further.

This led to an eagle-eyed fan on Reddit noticing that the phone in the phone booth that Captain Marvel is using has a real phone number listed. For those that aren’t old as dirt (like myself), you may not know that each phone in a phone booth had the number plastered on the front of the device so that you could receive a call back if needed. But, when this fan zoomed and enhanced, they noticed that the number is still in service — for a phone sex company.

Not going to lie, we didn’t check the source and dial for ourselves, but you’re more than welcome to try. From all accounts, it’s legit.

The funny part isn’t that this is included in the image, but the Reddit poster realized that this is the same number that was used in an episode of the Disney series “The Suite Life of Zach and Cody.” So yeah, this must be a number that’s in the registry of “go-to phone numbers” for the studio. We’re going to go out on a limb and say that is going to change.

“Captain Marvel” hits theaters March 8, 2019.
