'Bullet Train': Zazie Beetz And Brian Tyree Henry Joins The Star-Studded Cast Of David Leitch's Upcoming Action Film

If you thought we were done writing about all the exciting cast announcements for what’s quickly becoming one of the most anticipated action films, you were wrong. The cast of “Bullet Train” is continuing to attract great performers, and the latest actors to join the film are Zazie Beetz and Brian Tyree Henry, making this the “Joker” reunion you probably weren’t expecting.

According to a Deadline report, Beetz and Henry are the latest actors to join the cast of David Leitch‘s “Bullet Train.” If you forgot about the film or don’t know what it is about, this is an adaptation of the Japanese novel “Maria Beetle,” by author Kotaro Isaka. It tells the story of a group of hitmen and assassins on a mission onboard a — you guessed it — an airplane. Sorry, a bullet train.

We don’t know who anyone is playing, but we have to assume they are playing assassins. In any case, this casting announcement only helps increase interest in “Bullet Train.” Both Zazie and Brian Tyree Henry had their breakout roles in the phenomenal FX Atlanta,” before becoming two of the fastest rising stars in Hollywood, with Beetz giving a standout performance in “Deadpool 2,” which Leitch directed and Brad Pitt also starred in (making this an unlikely Deadpool reunion). Beetz also had a role in the Sundance darling “Nine Days.” Similarly, Henry has had an incredible career of late, with great performances in everything from “Into the Spider-Verse,” and “If Beale Street Could Talk” to “Widows.”

We don’t have a release date for “Bullet Train” just yet, and according to Deadline, plot details are vague, which may hint at a slightly different story than in the novel. In any case, a film where Brad Pitt, Zazie Beetz, Brian Tyree Henry, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Joey King play assassins, is a movie we can’t wait to see.
