Each year, studios like to cram their best offerings into the Christmas season, and 2014 is shaping up to be no different. With “The Hobbit: There And Back Again,” Angelina Jolie‘s “Unbroken,” Ridley Scott‘s “Exodus,” the star-studded musical “Into The Woods” and more, all coming within weeks of each other, another film has entered the fray.
Sony has dated Cameron Crowe‘s still-untitled next movie for Christmas Day, where it will face off against Disney’s musical and Jolie’s WWII flick. Starring Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams, Bill Murray, John Krasinski, Danny McBride, and Alec Baldwin, the film will tell the wacky story of a military contractor (Cooper) on a top secret military launch mission assignment in Hawaii who teams with an Air Force pilot (Stone) to kibosh the operation. This star power plus a screwball setup looks like a match made in heaven, and Columbia Pictures certainly think so.
The film is now in post-production, so perhaps we’ll see it at TIFF? Crowe has added yet another behind-the-scenes photo from his great TheUncool blog.
