How did a music legend create one of his most iconic albums? Bruce Springsteen’s “Nebraska” continues to draw praise from fans and critics alike. The 1982 record represents a deeply personal effort, showcasing once again why he is an acclaimed songwriter. “Deliver Me from Nowhere” tells the story of this remarkable album’s creation. The upcoming biopic is based on Warren Zanes‘ bestselling book “Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska.” Filmmaker Scott Cooper does extra duty on the project, directing in addition to writing the screenplay. He also serves as producer with Zanes, Scott Stuber, and The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson.
Both Springsteen and his manager, Jon Landau, are involved with ‘Nowhere.’ “Warren Zanes’ Deliver Me From Nowhere is one of the best books ever written about Bruce Springsteen and his music,” Landau said in a statement. “Bruce and I are thrilled that Scott Cooper has chosen to write and direct the film based on that book – we think he’s the perfect filmmaker for the job.
Jeremy Allen White portrays Springsteen. The actor is all too familiar with dramas centering on true stories. His work in “The Iron Claw” drew praise as part of the film’s standout performances. Viewers can also watch the actor on Hulu’s acclaimed series “The Bear.” Other ‘Nowhere’ cast members include Jeremy Strong, Paul Walter Hauser, Marc Maron, David Krumholtz, Grace Gummer, and Stephen Graham.
