Adam Sandler‘s daughter Sunny Sandler has already starred in several of her father’s Netflix movies, including cameos in “Happy Gilmore 2,” “Hubie Halloween,” and “Murder Mystery.” But she’s only had one film where she’s had the starring role, 2023’s “You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah.” Now she has another, “Don’t Say Good Luck,” which sees her star alongside “Yellowjackets” actress Melanie Lynskey (and, of course, some cameos from her father’s friends)
Sandler stars in the film as a girl preparing for her starring role in her high school musical, but it turns out her family life has more than enough drama off-stage…

In this coming-of-age dramedy, Sophie Birenbaum is ready for the spotlight as the lead in her high school musical — until suddenly she’s living with even more drama at home than on the stage.
Along with Sandler and Lynskey, the film also stars Max Greenfield, Jack Champion, Stephanie Beatriz, Scarlett Estevez, Jon Lovitz, Emma McNulty, Elyse Bell, Bebe Neuwirth, and Steve Buscemi.
Julia Hart directs a script by herself, Laura Hankin & Jordan Horowitz for “Don’t Say Good Luck,” from my story Hankin.
