Elisabeth Shue, Jennifer Lawrence & Max Thierot To Star In 'Psycho' Styled Thriller 'The House At The End Of The Street'

Elisabeth Shue, Jennifer Lawrence (“Winter’s Bone,” “X-Men: First Class”) and Max Thieriot (“Jumper”) are all set to star in the forthcoming indie thriller “The House At The End Of The Street.”

The film “centers on a teen girl (Lawrence) who moves with her mom (Shue) to a new town and learns that their home is across the street from a house where a double murder took place. Complications ensue when the teen befriends the massacre’s sole surviving son (Thieriot).” Filmmakers are hoping the project will inspire comparisons to “Psycho” similar to those made between “Disturbia” and “Rear Window.” So, they’re aiming for a watered down, modern take on Hitchcock? Not very ambitious.

The film is set to be directed by Mark Tonderai (“Hush”) and filming will kick off in Ottawa, Ontario (that’s in Canada, eh) next month. Despite our doubts about the project, we loved Lawrence in “Winter’s Bone” and are eager to see her flex her acting muscles in another indie production before getting lost in the CGI and anonymity of a major franchise.
