Have Hammer, Will Travel: New Pics From Spike Lee's 'Oldboy'

Oldboy

As Spike Lee keeps one eye on his Kickstarter campaign, which is now days away from ending and inching its way toward its $1.25 million goal, the director is also rounding third on “Oldboy,” his remake of Park Chan-wook‘s cult favorite. There are still lots of questions yet to be answered about this—primarily, how are they going to handle that ending?—but we remain curious to see the final result.

A batch of new pictures have arrived for the flick, with Josh Brolin wielding a hammer and eyeing a squid, both of which are important objects in the story. We also get another look at Elizabeth Olsen and a different look at Brolin checking out some Chinese takeout. We won’t spoil any of this for those of you who missed out on the original, except to say that the story that begins with a man being held hostage for 20 years only to be mysteriously set free, goes to some pretty freaky places.

“Oldboy” arrives on November 27th. [Collider]
