HBO has announced that a ninth season is coming. “In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned,’” David quipped about why he’s doing another batch of episodes (his most high profile role lately has been as Senator Bernie Sanders on Saturday Night Live). Further details have not yet been revealed nor is there a premiere date yet, but it’s probably a safe bet it’ll be on your dial in 2017.
