Jamie Dornan Latest To Board Long-Developing 'My Dinner With Hervé' Starring Peter Dinklage

Geez, it’s been a good half decade since we heard anything about “My Dinner With Hervé,” director Sacha Gervasi‘s (“Anvil: The Story Of Anvil,” “Hitchcock“) forever developing dream project that has suffered more than a few false starts. But it looks like things are once again rolling.

Deadline reveals that Jamie Dornan has signed up to star opposite the long-attached Peter Dinklage in the picture, which is set up at HBO. The “Fifty Shades Of Grey” actor slides into a role once eyeballed by folks like Dominic Cooper and James McAvoy. The film revolves around the last days of Hervé Villechaize, aka Tattoo, the famous dwarf on TV’s “Fantasy Island,” with Gervasi, a former journalist, drawing from his own experiences as the last person to interview the actor before he committed suicide in 1993.

Again, this project has been knocking around forever, so we’re not going to get too excited just yet. But Gervasi and Dinklage have both been long committed and no doubt, when it does eventually roll, they will be well prepared. For now, Gervasi is in post-production on his next film, the crime drama “November Criminals,” starring Chloe Grace Moretz.
