'Justice League' Deleted Scene Reveals Superman's Black Suit

For all the reshoots and stuff left on the editing room floor, the one thing we know for certain about the upcoming home video release of “Justice League” is that it’ll contain a single deleted scene. That said, diehard fans are gonna like this one because it provides a glimpse of Superman’s black suit.

A portion of the deleted scene has been released, and it sees Henry Cavill‘s hero, post-resurrection, wandering around his Kryptonian ship before putting on his suit. And yep, that black suit is in the closet.

Cinematographer Fabien Wagner previously commented on the alternate costume for Superman, but it doesn’t seem like there was significant work done with it. In fact, he can barely recall how it was used. “…to be totally honest I just can’t remember if we were shooting it as a test or if we were actually shooting it as a full scene with the suit,” Wagner said in December. “I definitely shot it, but I just can’t remember if it was more of a test or a full scene. But definitely seeing the black costume was great. So I’m not 100% sure whether that would have been in the movie anyhow.”

So, we’ll see if the rest of the scene has Clark giving the suit a test drive, or it’s just an Easter egg for fans. My guess is the latter.

“Justice League” hits digital of February 13th and 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack on March 13th.
