Joining Winstead in the cast are Tadanobu Asano, Miyavi, Michiel Huisman, Miku Martineau, Jun Kunimura, and Woody Harrelson. “Kate” is directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, based on a script by Umair Aleem. Nicolas-Troyan has only one other film under his belt as a director, the 2016 action film, “The Huntsman: Winter’s War.” But before that, the filmmaker worked primarily in visual effects, contributing to projects such as “Snow White and the Huntsman,” “One Hour Photo,” “The Ring,” and a couple of “Pirates of the Caribbean” films.

“Kate” doesn’t have an official streaming date right now, but Netflix is teasing a fall 2021 release. You can see the first-look photos below.

Here’s the synopsis:

After she’s irreversibly poisoned, a ruthless criminal operative has less than 24 hours to exact revenge on her enemies and in the process forms an unexpected bond with the daughter of one of her past victims.
