After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the ‘Star Wars’ universe. ‘The Mandalorian’ is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

The show is still pretty secretive, but Pedro Pascal did reveal something about his character in the panel describing him as a “mysterious lone gunfighter,” of “questionable moral character which is in line with our best Westerns and samurais. He’s a badass.” Favreau once again reiterated that the show takes place after “Return Of The Jedi,” but mixes a lot of new and old “Star Wars” mythos and technology.

“The Mandalorian” will premiere when Disney+ launches on November 12th, 2019. However, do not expect a binge— Disney+ will follow a more traditional television release format, giving us new episodes on a weekly basis. Jon Favreau and his stacked team of directors including Bryce Dallas Howard and Taika Waititi look like they are going to raise the stakes even more with “The Mandalorian.” Joining Waititi and Howard in the director’s chair are Deborah Chow, who has directed for Mr. Robot,” and Rick Famuyiwa, director of Dope.” And if that were not enough directing talent, German master Werner Herzog is in the cast, just in case any of them needs any tips. Also in the cast are Nick Nolte, and “Breaking Bad” star Giancarlo Esposito.
