Defang the police! RLJE and Shudder are behind a new Los Angeles-set vampire movie that includes a group of bloodsucking LAPD cops, which is coming out early next year, as “Night Patrol” takes the cop genre and combines a horrific hook. This fresh movie joins a handful of genre-bending horror films with unique ideas that are thankfully becoming more and more common, as original ideas are getting support from audiences as much as legacy horror sequels/reboots.
The upcoming film’s cast features the talents of a mix of known actors and muscians such as Jermaine Fowler (“The Blackening,” “Sting”), Justin Long (“Babarian,” “Weapons,” Coyotes”), RJ Cyler (“Whit Boy Rick”), Freddie Gibbs, CM Punk, YG, Flying Lotus, Dermot Mulroney, Jon Oswald, and Nicki Micheaux.

Ryan Prows of “Lowlife” directs the hybrid hororr project from a script co-written with Shaye Ogbonna, Tim Cairo, and Jake Gibson.
Shudder/RLJE has provided the official logline for the tantalizing horror hybrid pic:
An LAPD officer must put aside his differences with the area’s street gangs when he discovers a local police task force is harboring a horrific secret that endangers the residents of the housing projects he grew up in.
You can view the “Night Patrol” trailer below, as the pic is hitting theaters exclusively on January 16.
