Sure, everyone is eagerly waiting to see what Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig have up their sleeves when they release the new “Barbie” film in July. While Baumbach just co-wrote the film alongside Gerwig, who also directed, there’s still just a curiosity surrounding the film, especially as it shares a release date with Christopher Nolan’sOppenheimer.” But that’s neither here nor there. According to Deadline, Noah Baumbach has been out and about selling the publishing rights for an untitled book that he has written. In North America, it appears Knopf has secured the rights, but an exact release date has yet to be announced. So, a Baumbach-penned book is on the way, but what, exactly, is it about?

Well, the report claims that details are scarce but it’s being said that Baumbach’s untitled book is more of a memoir that will trace his early years until now and how his love of cinema grew over that time. Is it some sort of tell-all that will blow away Hollywood and tear down the system? Eh, probably not. But it does sound like it’ll be a thoughtful self-examination of an acclaimed filmmaker’s life and his love affair with film. And if you’re a fan of Baumbach’s film work, this sounds like something well worth checking out.
