It’s the Marvel crossover you’ve all been waiting for. Two of the biggest live-action superhero franchises are teaming up for what is sure to be the event of the year. Oh wait, it’s just “Runaways” and “Cloak & Dagger.” But hey, it could be cool, right?
As revealed in a new video from Marvel, popular Freeform series “Cloak & Dagger” and Hulu’s “Runaways” are going to have a crossover episode in the upcoming Season 3 of the latter, which is released in December. No word on the details of how the heroes will join forces, but considering both are set in the lovely city of Los Angeles, it makes sense that they would be teaming up.

If you’re not familiar with the series, and honestly, not every Marvel Cinematic Universe fan goes down the rabbit hole that deep, then here’s a quick refresher.
“Runaways” features a group of teens that join forces when they find that their parents are all members of an underground criminal syndicate called The Pride. And along the way, the teens are imbued with abilities and technology that make them full-fledged superheroes. “Cloak & Dagger,” on the other hand, focuses on two teens that through mysterious circumstances become given superpowers that are somehow linked to each other.
Other than the series both featuring teen superheroes on the West Coast, the series both appeal to the same demographic of viewers. Odds are if you watch one, you likely watch the other. And if you don’t, then Marvel TV is hoping that this crossover will entice you to do just that.
