'See' Trailer: Apple TV+ and Jason Momoa Go All Out for Final Season

When Apple TV+ launched in 2019, the dystopian sci-fi drama “See” was among the streamer’s first original series. A rocky critical reception didn’t stop the show from earning a renewal, and in its second season it emerged as the platform’s most watched drama. Now, the series is set to return for a third and final season. An action-packed trailer promises the return of Jason Momoa as Baba Voss, last seen withdrawing into self-imposed exile after killing his antagonstic brother, Edo.

Here’s the concluding season’s official synopsis:

‘See’ is set in a brutal and primitive future, hundreds of years after humankind has lost the ability to see. In season three, almost a year has passed since Baba Voss defeated his nemesis brother Edo and bid farewell to his family to live remotely in the forest. But when a Trivantian scientist develops a new and devastating form of sighted weaponry that threatens the future of humanity, Baba returns to Paya in order to protect his tribe once more.”

Also reprising their roles for season three are ensemble cast members Sylvia Hoeks, Hera Hilmar, Christian Camargo, Archie Madekwe, Nesta Cooper, Tom Mison, Olivia Cheng, Eden Epstein, Michael Raymond-James, and David Hewlett

After co-writing the first season’s finale with creator Steven Knight, Jonathan Tropper (“Banshee,” “Warrior”) took over showrunning duties full time. Trooper and Jennifer Yale serve as season three’s head writers, with director Anders Engström (“Taboo”) returning to direct all eight episodes. (Engström helmed two episodes of season one and most of season two.) Novelist and journalist Karl Taro Greenfeld will also contribute a writing credit.

The final season premiere of “See” is scheduled to hit Apple TV+ on August 26.
