‘Severance,’ ‘Adolescence,’ ‘The Studio’ & ‘Hacks’ Top 2025 TCA Awards Nominees

Summer Press Tour may officially be dead, but the Television Critics Association is still moving forward with the annual TCA Awards. The 2025 edition saw “Severance” lead all programs with five nominations, including Program of the Year. The four programs with four nominations, “Adolescence,” “Hacks,” “The Pitt,” and”The Studio,” also earned Program of the Year noms.

That prestigious category was rounded out by “Andor” and “The Rehearsal,” which earned three nominations each, and “The White Lotus,” which, shockingly, took just two as none of the actors were nominated. “Matlock” had an impressive showing, earning Outstanding Achievement in Drama, Outstanding New Program, and an Individual Achievement in Drama nomination for Kathy Bates.

Surprise nominees include Jacob Anderson in the Individual Achievement in Drama category for “Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire,” Michelle Williams’ work in “Dying for Sex” to be considered a “Comedy” performance, and “Hot Ones” cracking the Outstanding Achievement in Variety, Talk or Sketch field.

In a statement, TCA President Andy Dehnart noted, “With these nominations, we honor the art of television and the artists who create it. Our members independently selected these nominees, having championed these shows and in their writing, reporting, and criticism throughout the past year.”

The Career Achievement and Heritage Award winners will be announced later this summer. It is unclear how and when the winners will be announced or celebrated, with the annual Press Tour canceled.
