‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Trailer: Tim Burton’s Addams Family Series Returns Next Month, Lady Gaga Guest Role Confirmed

New Jersey’s creepy and kooky family, The Addams Family, returns this August as Tim Burton‘s Netflix series “Wednesday” finally arrives on August 6, as the streamer has shared with us a new trailer for the second season and confirmed that pop-star Lady Gaga (“Joker 2”) has officially joined the cast in an undisclosed guest role.

Led by on-the-rise actress Jenna Ortega, the impressive cast of “Wednesday” includes Emma Myers, Steve Buscemi, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Isaac Ordonez, Joy Sunday, Billie Piper, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Victor Dorobantu, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah B. Taylor, Hunter Doohan, Jamie McShane, Joanna Lumley, Joonas Suotamo, Fred Armisen, Christopher Lloyd, Thandiwe Newton, Heather Matarazzo, Haley Joel Osment, and Frances O’Connor.

The series is a re-imagining of the classic Charles Addams comic strip originally published in the pages of The New Yorker in the late 1930s, which was eventually adapted into multiple TV shows, animated projects, and feature films.

Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) returns to prowl the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy, where fresh foes and woes await. This season, Wednesday must navigate family, friends, and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem. Armed with her signature razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm, Wednesday is also plunged into a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery.

Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are showrunners, writers, and executive producers of the series, with Burton directing episodes alongside Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson. Others on the executive producer team consist of Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman, Meredith Averill, Karen Richards, Gail Berman, Jonathan Glickman, Tommy Harper, Kayla Alpert, and Kevin Miserocchi.
