Following in the footsteps of Terry Gilliam’s work with Arcade Fire, Spike Lee is set direct a concert webcast for The Roots and John Legend for their upcoming concert at New York City’s Terminal 5.
As part of the ongoing American Express’ Unstaged series, the concert will be available to watch live on YouTube, with clips being made to watch later in case you missed it. If you’re thinking you might get to see Lee unleash his dolly shot during a live concert, think again. If it’s anything like Gilliam’s job, his fingerprints will be largely non-existent during the concert, though pre-gig backstage footage which is also recorded, should be interesting.
