In this new trailer (via Harper’s Bazaar), fans can catch a glimpse of what captivated critics last year at the Sundance Film Festival where it won the Special Jury Award for Drama. Set in the 90s, the nostalgic coming-of-age drama traces the relationship of three teenagers caught up in the midst of a police investigation. Starring alongside Owen Campbell, Heaton gives a powerful performance as a rebellious outcast with a strict, violent father. His budding romantic relationship with Campbell (Jack) is all that stands between him and the cruel narrow-mindedness of a small town.

Also featuring Amandla Stenberg (best known for her role as Rue in “The Hunger Games”), “As You Are” hits theaters on February 24th. The song featured in the trailer “Appalachian Moon” by Kevin Reilly, will be released on the movie’s soundtrack on February 24th.
