One of the most unique and interesting cinematic universes that is thriving in 2025 has nothing to do with superheroes. It is the various Anne Rice series that are being released on AMC, including “Interview with the Vampire” and “Mayfair Witches.” Now, a third series is being added to the group, “Talamasca: The Secret Order.”
During its San Diego Comic-Con panel, a new teaser for “Talamasca: The Secret Order” was debuted. In the teaser, we’re introduced to the title organization, a group whose sole purpose is tracking and containing the witches, vampires, and other creatures scattered around the globe. But what if the group isn’t truly on the up and up? That’s the mystery at the center of the new series.
The cast includes Nicholas Denton, William Fichtner, Elizabeth McGovern, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Celine Buckens, and Jason Schwartzman. The series is the latest to spawn from what is being dubbed AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe. Previous series include “Interview with the Vampire” and “Mayfair Witches.”
‘Talamasca’ is showrun by John Lee Hancock and Mark Lafferty (“The Right Stuff,” “Halt and Catch Fire”). Hancock also directs the series. Previously, he worked as a director on projects such as “The Blind Side,” “Saving Mr. Banks,” “The Founder,” and “The Little Things,” among others.
“Talamasca: The Secret Order” is set to debut on AMC on October 26. You can watch the new trailer below:
