The creator of “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul” is back. This time, he’s reteaming with one of his ‘Saul’ stars for a new series coming to Apple TV+, and if the first teaser is any indication, “Pluribus” is going to be… disturbing.
Today, it was announced that Vince Gilligan, the aforementioned creator of “Breaking Bad” and Better Call Saul,” has a new series coming to Apple TV+ called “Pluribus,” and it’s set to star Rhea Seehorn. And to fully announce the series, Apple released a short teaser which doesn’t give much in the way of plot. In the teaser, which can be seen below, a woman has decided to lick the bottom of every single donut that she is leaving for her coworkers. It’s icky, to say the least.
As mentioned, there’s not much else we know about “Pluribus.” The title obviously originates from Latin and means “many.” It’s probably best known for being used as part of a motto for the United States, seen on seals and money, “E pluribus unum” (which translates to “out of many, one”). We don’t have any details about the plot of the series or really what type of tone or genre to expect. All we have is a woman licking donuts.
We do know about the cast. It was previously announced that Rhea Seehorn would be starring in the series. Seehorn and Gilligan worked together on “Better Call Saul,” which earned her two Primetime Emmy Supporting Actress nominations. Joining her in the cast are Karolina Wydra, Carlos-Manuel Vesga, Miriam Shor, and Samba Schutte. Again, we don’t know what roles these actors will be portraying.
Finally, we do know a release date for the series. “Pluribus” is set to debut on Apple TV+ on November 7. You can watch the new teaser below:
