‘Trick’ Trailer: Omar Epps Shouldn't Expect Any Treats In The Upcoming Slasher Film

Halloween is a month away, and it’s time for everybody to get their seasonal fix of horror movies. And for many, that means they’ll have a heaping helping of slasher films. What’s better than taking in a movie that leaves you scared silly one minute and laughing out loud the next? The bloody subgenre conjures up last names like Myers, Krueger, and Voorhees, as villains that are always on the hunt for new prey, specifically those of the young variety. And in “Trick,” there’s someone new that strives to be added to that iconic list.

The new slasher film is directed by Patrick Lussier, who co-wrote the film with Todd Farmer. Both individuals have extensive resumes in the horror genre. Lussier co-edited and helmed the 2009 remake of “My Bloody Valentine,” and Farmer co-wrote the screenplay. Lussier also contributed his editing talents to movies like “Mimic,” “Red Eye,” and “Apollo 18,” while Farmer has “Jason X” on his filmography.

Here’s the synopsis for the duo’s latest work:
A no-nonsense detective tries to track down a serial killer named Trick, who is terrorizing a small town.
