'The War With Grandpa' Trailer: Robert De Niro Battles A Little Kid In The New Comedy Film

Isn’t it hilarious that people get so old that they can’t drive well and aren’t able to use the self-checkout lanes at a grocery store? If that makes you chuckle, you’re in for a treat with the new film, “The War with Grandpa.”

As seen in the trailer, “The War with Grandpa” stars Robert De Niro as an aging man that has to come to terms with the fact that he’s not able to do the things he once was able to do. And because of this, he moves in with his daughter and her family, giving him the opportunity to grow closer to his grandkids. But when we takes over his grandson’s room, the young boy vows revenge on the old man. Hilarity ensues.

Here’s the synopsis:

Sixth-grader Peter (Oakes Fegley) is pretty much your average kid-he likes gaming, hanging with his friends and his beloved pair of Air Jordans. But when his recently widowed grandfather Ed (Robert De Niro) moves in with Peter’s family, the boy is forced to give up his most prized possession of all, his bedroom. Unwilling to let such an injustice stand, Peter devises a series of increasingly elaborate pranks to drive out the interloper, but Grandpa Ed won’t go without a fight. Soon, the friendly combatants are engaged in an all-out war with side-splitting consequences.
