Watch: 4 Teaser Clips From Joe Carnahan’s ‘Stretch’ With Appearances By Ed Helms & Norman Reedus

StretchSince 2011’s “The Grey,” director Joe Carnahan has had trouble mounting a followup. First there was his failed pitch for “Daredevil,” then the creative differences with MGM on the “Death Wish” remake, but it looked as if things had turned the corner for the “Narc” filmmaker when he completed work on the low-budget thriller “Stretch.” That is, until Universal dropped the title from its schedule earlier this year. But the Patrick Wilson-starring film is set to premiere on VOD next month, and a few clips have surfaced to give us a glimpse at the delayed film.

The high concept thriller follows Wilson as a chauffeur whose night on the job gets crazier thanks to the demands of his billionaire client (played by Chris Pine). Wilson’s wild evening brings him into the orbit of a cast that includes Jessica AlbaEd HelmsNorman ReedusBrooklyn DeckerRay Liotta and David Hasselhoff. The four clips online are extremely short, all under 20 seconds, and add up to 47 seconds in total. Helms pops up in two of the clips alongside Reedus and a very brief appearance by Wilson. We also get a quick and creepy look at Pine’s eccentric character, plus a trio of women wearing black masks that wouldn’t look out of place in “Holy Motors” or “Enter The Void.”

“Stretch” his VOD in October, though no specific date is set yet. Watch the clips below.
