Watch: Adam Sandler Has Sole In New Trailer For 'The Cobbler'

The CobblerAs I wrote in my TIFF review of the film, "The Cobbler" is "probably the first anti-gentrification, magical shoe, Jewish fable in the history of cinema." And that’s about all the Tom McCarthy-directed misfire has going for it, except for the idle curiosity of those who are willing to see just how bad this movie really is. And a new trailer is here to give you a little more of a taste before it opens.

Adam Sandler underwhelms again, this time as the dull proprietor of a shoe repair shop who discovers a magic mending machine which allows him to literally step into the lives of his customers. He uses his powers to creep on a sexy customer, help an old man save his apartment, battle a mean thug played by Method Man, and it’s all as fearfully unfunny as that sounds. But I will say Melonie Diaz is the lone redeeming value of the movie.

"The Cobbler" arrives in theaters and on VOD on March 13th.
