Watch: Trailer For Britpop Documentary 'Pulp: A Film about Life, Death & Supermarkets'

Pulp: A Film about Life, Death & Supermarkets

From the surprise reboot plans of the “Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers” to the recent induction of Nirvana into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, ’90s nostalgia is in. While Pulp began in the late ’70s, the English band struggled to find success until the ’90s arrived and the band became reluctantly identified with the Britpop phenomenon. It’s roughly 35 years later and the band is set to release the documentary “Pulp: A Film About Life, Death, And Supermarkets,” and a trailer has arrived online.

Picked up for North American distribution by Oscilloscope last month, the behind-the-scenes concert documentary, which also “incorporates interviews from people who reside in the band’s hometown of Sheffield,” still has no scheduled stateside release date. But for those who were fans of the band, this seems like a pretty interesting look at their legacy and what made them so compelling to a generation of music fans who thought the band were more than just common people.

“Pulp: A Film About Life, Death, And Supermarkets” hits U.K. cinemas next month on June 6th. Watch the trailer below.
