Bella Thorne Says She's “Lucky” To Release Her Directorial Debut On Pornhub As She Describes Filming “Real-Life F--cking”

When you think of “visionary” directors, there are some names that come to mind. Stanley Kubrick, Steven Spielberg, Terry Gilliam, James Cameron, and even Quentin Tarantino are all people you could put in that esteemed category. And if you’re Pornhub, you put Bella Thorne up there as well.

Today, it was announced that actress-turned-filmmaker Bella Thorne, who is probably best known for her work as a Disney actress as a child and recent films like “Midnight Sun” and “The Babysitter,” is going to step behind the camera for the first time to direct the short film “Her & Him.” However, the added wrinkle is that “Her & Him” isn’t your typical short film. Yes, it’ll play at a film festival (in this case, The Oldenburg Film Festival in Germany), but after that, it’s going straight to Pornhub, as part of its “Visionaries Director’s Series.”

You see, Thorne has teamed up with porn site, Pornhub, as a producer on the film, and as seen in the first BTS featurette about the project, while there is definitely an artistic take on a tried and true erotic thriller plot, “Her & Him” is going to be just as pornographic as other “shorts” that are on the site.

The filmmaker said she originally wanted to make a “Christmas horror movie” but ended up switching gears to create a short about a man and a woman in a very sexually charged relationship, as they switch roles from dominant to submissive, with perhaps some dangerous consequences. Oh yeah, and there’s a lot of sex.

“The process of shooting was very interesting because we had real-life fucking on set, which I had never shot before,” said Thorne. “Also, this was my first short in general, so it was quite an interesting experience to have the first thing that I ever really fully directed have so much sex in it. It is quite a fun environment.”
