Bless Me Father, For I Will Sin: New Images & Trailer For 'On The Road'

nullSex, booze, jazz, writing, dreaming, living, dancing… on the road. Striving to capture the Beat spirit and the wonder of the American landscape and its many varied people, Walter Salles' "On The Road" arrives in theaters next month with a big weight on its shoulder.

Based on the iconic book by Jack Kerouac, this decades in the making picture brings together a cast featuring Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley, Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen, Amy Adams and many, many more for an adaptation of what many said was an unfilmable work. Did it succeed? Well, that depends on who you ask, but the performances by the young cast are up to the task even if the movie doesn't always always quite come togther. And the picture certainly captures the ramshackle spirit of Kerouac and his colleagues.

Edited down from the cut that screened at the Cannes Film Festival, "On The Road" will burn like a Roman candle on December 21st in limited release. Watch below.nullnull
