'Colin In Black & White' Trailer: Project Explores A Young Colin Kaepernick

Colin Kaepernick‘s story has taken the world by storm over the last few years. Now, Netflix is bringing his story to life in a brand new way through the drama series “Colin in Black and White.” Netflix’s first-ever TUDUM event gave fans a look at the upcoming series.

Kaepernick narrates the drama series recounting his formative years navigating race, class, and culture while aspiring for greatness. Some stories are told as dramatic recreation, and others are told directly by Kaepernick himself. The show tackles stories like the racism he faced from the way he wore his hair to unnecessary aggression from police officers. The extreme racism that Kaepernick is shown dealing with in “Colin in Black and White” all builds up to his time in the NFL. These events clearly shaped who he is and informed his status as an activist and role model to many people around the world.
