After their success with “Ready or Not,” the filmmaking trio of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, and Chad Villella, better known as Radio Silence, have been landing projects left and right. They’ve signed on to work with Phil Lord and Chris Miller, as well as the reboot of the “Scream” franchise. And now, the trio has signed on to make a film based on the novel, “The Ice Beneath Her,” with a huge star leading the way.

According to Deadline, Radio Silence has signed to direct and produce a film based on Camilla Grebe’s bestselling 2015 novel, “The Ice Beneath Her,” set to star none other than Daisy Ridley. The psychological thriller is said to follow a detective and a profiler that are hot on the trail of a killer that left behind the head of a dead woman in the home of a prominent businessman. The report claims that the film will carry a similar tone to “The Girl on the Train” and “Gone Girl.” Caitlin Parrish is the screenwriter that adapted the novel.

As mentioned, Radio Silence is probably best known for work on the film “Ready or Not,” which turned into a modest hit last year, based on a $60 million box office gross and its low $6 million budget. Before that, the group was also responsible for segments in horror anthologies such as “V/H/S” and “Southbound.” They also directed and produced the feature, “The Devil’s Due.”

There’s no release date set for “The Ice Beneath Her.”
