David Lynch & Showtime Stay Cryptic With 'Twin Peaks' Episode Descriptions

When “Twin Peaks” arrives on Sunday, everyone around the world will be watching it together for the first time. That’s right, despite David Lynch and co. hitting the Cannes Film Festival with the first two episodes, they will screen after the official premiere this weekend. It’s all part of Lynch’s plan to keep things mysterious, and Showtime has been glad to help stoke anticipation without giving anything away.

The official descriptions for the first eight episodes have landed, and if you thought you might get a logline or anything resembling some clue about the narrative, guess again. Brief and cryptic, you can let your imagination run wild, but you probably won’t come close to whatever Lynch is planning. Here they are:

Part 1: My log has a message for you.
Part 2: The stars turn and a time presents itself.
Part 3: Call for help.
Part 4: …brings back some memories.
Part 5: Case files.
Part 6: Don’t die.
Part 7: There’s a body all right.
Part 8: Gotta light?

Maybe they’ll make sense read backwards? I have no idea, but the answers will start arriving very soon. [Welcome To Twin Peaks]
