Early 'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2' Reviews Are In, And Apparently, There's A TON Of Post-Credits Scenes

Welcome to Blockbuster Limbo, that odd – and inevitable – period between the first press screening of a film and its theatrical release. Film critics got their first good look at “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” last night, and while the actual reviews are under embargo until April 24, that didn’t stop members of the press from sharing their initial reactions on Twitter. The consensus? ‘Guardians’ brings all the energy of the original film, perhaps with slightly diminishing returns. Here’s a quick sampling of what people had to say:

The other big reveal from the screening is an insanely high number of post-credits sequences. Fans of the Marvel universe are no stranger to a post-movie stinger, or, when a movie is really trying to build towards something, two stingers, but ‘Guardians’ takes this to a whole new level. According to ComicBook.com, the movie features no fewer than four post-credits scenes, with director James Gunn suggesting that there might even be one more (but who’s counting):

That’s… that’s a lot of post-credits scenes. Let’s pour one out for all the movie theater employees who will now have to stand awkwardly in the back of the theater with their cleaning supplies while people stay rooted to their seats. Regardless, though, it sounds like Marvel has another hit on their hands.
