Famed Freak The Lizardman Now Also Part Of Terrence Malick's Next Film Because Why Not?

By the time Terrence Malick finishes with "Knight Of Cups" and his currently filming, untitled love-triangle movie, pretty much every actor, musician and sideshow attraction will have logged time in front of his cameras. The director seems to love hanging out with famous people almost as much as he loves cutting them out of his movies, and now the oddest set photo you'll see all year reveals another bizarro addition to his cast.

Professional freak and talk show staple Eric "The Lizardman" Sprague has been spotted on the set of the new film, along with a better look at the recently revealed Michael Fassbender, this time shooting alongside Natalie Portman. The professional freak is apparently also a stand up comic and plays in a band, so maybe it's the latter gig that has found him in Malick's movie set against the backdrop of the music industry. Or maybe Malick is shooting an existential tale about getting a bifurcated tongue. Or maybe it's just because Sprague currently lives in Austin, which increases your chances of bumping into Malick by about 500%. Also popping up? Up and coming actor Boyd Holbrook, who appeared in this summer's acclaimed mini-series "Hatfields & McCoys" and has "The Host," "Out Of The Furnace" and "Behind The Candelabra" all coming next year.

Anyway, it's more ingredients in a movie that will eventually reveal itself within the next few years. Take a look below, along with some extra snaps of Fassy and Portman, and one more of the latter looking decidedly white trash. [Celebitchy/The Film Stage]
