While “One Battle After Another” seemingly wrapped up a Best Picture win and trophy runs for “The Pitt,” “Adolescence” and “The Studio” continued at the Producers Guild Awards in Century City, the art directors honored their own in a concurrent ceremony in downtown Los Angeles. Two of those projects saw their production designers take 2026 Art Directors Guild Award statuettes: Florencia Martin won the Contemporary Feature Film category for “One Battle,” and Julie Beghoff won Half-Hour Single-Camera Series or “The Studio.” The presumed frontrunner for the Production Design Oscar, Tamara Deverell, won the Period Feature Film award for “Frankenstein.”

After being head-scratchingly snubbed in several guilds and Oscar and BAFTA awards, “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” saw Kasra Farahani win the Fantasy Feature Film honor. Demonstrating a universal love for the Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation hit, Mingjue Helen Chen and Dave Bleich won the Animated Feature Film category for “KPop Demon Hunters.”
Other television winners included Luke Hull winning One-Hour Fantasy Single-Camera Series for “Andor,” Jeremy Hidle taking the Contemporary category for “Severance,” and Jon Carlos swept the Period field for “Palm Royale” (“Maxine Drinks Martini’s Now,” “Maxine Serves a Swerve”). Matthew Flood Ferguson won Television Movie or Limited Series for “Monster: The Ed Gein Story,” and Glenda Rovello took Multi-Camera Series for “Mid Century Modern” (“Bye George”). Variety Special saw Akira Yoshimura, Keith Ian Raywood, and N. Joseph De Tullio won for “SNL50: The Anniversary Special” and joined Andrea Purcigliotti in winning Variety or Reality Series for “Saturday Night Live” (Lady Gaga Host).
Martin took her second trophy of the night in the Commercials field for “Prada: Galleria Bag,” while Shane Valentino won the Short Format & Music Videos category for “Apple – Someday by Spike Jonze: AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancelation.”
Hosted by comedian and “The Traitors” season 4 star Ron Fuchs, the event handed out a ton of honorary awards. Randall Wallace inducted Thomas E. Sanders (“Braveheart,” “Saving Private Ryan,” “Bram Stoker’s Dracula”) into the ADG Hall of Fame. Former producer and now congresswoman, Laura Friedman, received the ADG President’s Award. “Wicked” helmer Jon M. Chu received the Cinematic Imagery Award from his “Crazy Rich Asians” star, Awkwafina.
Lifetime Achievement Awards saw Barry Sonnefield induct Bo Welch, Randy Wilkins induct Jann Engel, Ron Underwood induct Tom Southwell, and James Shefik induct Stephen McNally.
