'I Am Greta' Clip: Venice & TIFF-Bound Doc Spotlights The Activism Of Greta Thunberg

It’s hard to imagine that it’s only been just about two years that climate change activist Greta Thunberg has been in the public eye. Back in the summer of 2018, the then-15-year-old Thunberg gained worldwide headlines for leading a protest against Sweden’s lack of plan against climate change. Since then, she’s traveled around the world and inspired millions of young people to think more about the environment. And her story has now been made into a documentary that is getting quite a bit of buzz, titled “I Am Greta.”

As seen in the first clip/teaser for “I Am Greta,” the new documentary comes from Hulu and follows the early days of Thunberg’s activism and her treacherous travel issues considering she refuses to take airplanes across the Atlantic ocean due to the carbon footprint. The film also gives details about her mission statement and cause for protest, asking adults around the world, “why should I care about my future in school if you don’t care about my future on Earth?”

“I Am Greta” arrives on Hulu on November 13. However, before it makes its debut on the streaming service, the doc will screen at both Venice and TIFF, as part of the respective film festivals. You can watch the first clip/teaser for the film below.

Highly anticipated Hulu Original Documentary I AM GRETA, which follows young activist Greta Thunberg, will stream on Hulu on Friday, November 13. In August 2018, Thunberg, a 15-year-old student in Sweden, started a school strike for the climate as her question for adults was, if you don’t care about my future on earth, why should I care about my future in school? Within months, her strike evolved into a global movement as the quiet teenage girl on the autism spectrum becomes a world-famous activist. The documentary follows Greta’s heroism and passion in fighting for climate change.
