Comic-Con wrapped up over a week ago so we're kind of surprised it's taken this long for this to happen, but some pretty grainy, lo-res but no less intriguing snaps from the "Prometheus" footage shown in San Diego have made it to the web, providing us our first look at Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace and Idris Elba in the film.
Script Flags (via STYD) claim the pictures contain "explicit details & spoilers" but that's not entirely true. Scott and the rest of the cast and crew have been tremendously tightlipped about the "Alien" universe flick and we're pretty sure whatever Ridley Scott showed in San Diego was just a tease of what's to come, and not some kind of movie spoiling moment. That said, if you'd rather remain in the dark as to the look of the film, you might just want to stop reading here. However, is this likely a taste of the teaser trailer we're likely to get this fall? Yeah, probably.
As you already known, plot details are pretty much unknown, however Theron did reveal her character is the head of Weyland-Yutani aka The Company and she looks particularly steely here. Rapace looks like she's bringing some of her 'Dragon Tattoo' steez to Scott's film and Fassbender appears to have joined Daft Punk.
The 3D film is shooting in both PG-13 and R-rated versions with a decision to be made later as to which version will hit theaters and all will be revealed on June 8, 2012.
