'The Invisible Man' Trailer: Elisabeth Moss Has Her Life Turned Upside Down By Her Unseen Abusive Ex

The first minute of the new trailer for Blumhouse’s The Invisible Man” makes no mention of unseen killers. Instead, it’s a scene showing a young woman attempting to escape her home in the middle of the night, so that she doesn’t have to deal with her abusive boyfriend any longer. No, this isn’t your parent’s Universal Monsters film.

Handing over the reins of the franchise to Jason Blum and his hugely successful horror production company, Universal is set to release a new version of its classic ‘Invisible Man’ tale. This time, instead of a man wrapped in bandages, the unseen man of the film’s title is an abusive boyfriend that terrorizes his girlfriend after faking his own death. It’s creepy and vicious in a way that “The Invisible Man” hasn’t been before.
