'John Bronco' Trailer: Walton Goggins Is The Iconic Ford Pitchman In This Hulu "Documentary"

You may not know this, but the Ford Bronco, one of the most iconic SUVs in the history of automobiles wasn’t actually named for a horse. Nope. In fact, as you will quickly learn by the upcoming “documentary” on Hulu, titled “John Bronco,” the vehicle is actually named after its pitchman who went missing.

As you see in the new trailer for “John Bronco,” the film is set up as a never-before-seen documentary about the true history of one of America’s finest automobiles, the Ford Bronco. More than that, it’s a doc about the company’s pitchman, John Bronco, who became so iconic in the history of pop culture that he inspired the wild horse name given to the SUV. Of course, if you’re scratching your head wondering why you’ve never heard of John Bronco, well that’s because it’s actually Walton Goggins playing a character. But let’s not ruin all the fun, huh?

The film stars Goggins alongside Tim Meadows, Tim Baltz, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bo Derek, and Dennis Quaid. “John Bronco” is directed by Jake Szymanski, who has made quite a name for himself with this particular style of mockumentary. In addition to his new film, he’s also the director behind recent comedies such as “7 Days in Hell” and “Tour de Pharmacy.”
