Jonathan Nolan & J.J. Abrams' 'Westworld' Gets Series Order From HBO

Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood & James Marsden WestworldGet ready for yet another must watch HBO show coming to your screens soon. The combined power of Jonathan Nolan and J.J. Abrams has gotten "Westworld" off the ground, and the network likes what they’ve seen.

HBO announced a full series order of the one-hour drama based on the 1973 movie by Michael Crichton. Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Miranda Otto, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Angela Sarafyan, and Simon Quarterman make up the cast. Here’s the official logline:

WESTWORLD is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin.

The show will apparently flip the script a bit on the movie, focusing on the robots instead of the humans. Wood and Marsden are love interests who find their relationship continually thwarted by constant reboots in their programming when they "die" in the titular theme park.

No word yet on a premiere date, however Nolan will be among the directors, and this on our must-see list for 2015.
