'Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again' Trailer: The ABBA Singalong Continues

It is a truth universally acknowledged that if a film makes crazy bank at the box office, then the powers that be in Hollywood will want to make a sequel. Such is the case with “Mamma Mia!” which made $609 million worldwide back in 2008. Co-chairman of Universal Pictures David Linde never made it a secret that there was interest in returning to the “Mamma Mia” world, but knew that it would take a while to get made. Thus, ten years later we are now just months away from the aptly titled “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.”

The film functions as both a prequel and a sequel with new renditions of some Abba hits featured in the 2008 movie, “along with some reprised favorites,” according to the studio’s announcement.
