'Mammals' Teaser: James Corden & Sally Hawkins Star In Prime Video Series About Complicated Marriages

Marriage is a tough thing. Some people believe that once you tie the knot, you just get to coast and not really worry so much about your relationship. However, you could argue that marriage only complicates things more. The new Prime Video series, “Mammals,” attempts to showcase how marriage is filled with trials and tribulations.

As seen in the teaser trailer for “Mammals,” the series follows the story of a chef who finds himself at odds with his wife after some shocking secrets are brought to light. The chef then goes and attempts to figure things out with his brother-in-law, but that only complicates his relative’s own marriage even further. Marriage is tough stuff, people.

“Mammals” stars James Corden, Sally Hawkins, Melia Kreiling, and Colin Morgan. The series is directed by Stephanie Laing. She’s a veteran TV director, helming episodes of shows such as “Physical,” “Made for Love,” “Dollface,” and “Love Life.” “Mammals” is written by Jez Butterworth, who is known for films such as “Edge of Tomorrow,” “Ford v. Ferrari,” “Black Mass,” and “Get On Up.”

All six episodes of “Mammals” debut on Prime Video on November 11. You can watch the teaser below.

Here’s the synopsis:

In the new Original series, revelations and secrets come to light as the complexity of modern marriage and fidelity are exposed. In a world of 8 billion, what happens after we’ve found “the one?” Can we stay true to the promises we strive to keep when, after all, aren’t we all just Mammals? Mammals follows the story of Jamie (James Corden), a chef whose world implodes when he discovers shocking secrets about his pregnant wife, Amandine (Melia Kreiling). Jamie finds himself hunting for answers with the help of his brother-in-law Jeff (Colin Morgan). Through this hunt, the cracks in Jeff’s marriage to Jamie’s sister Lue (Sally Hawkins) also widen.
