The news of Tom Hardy‘s exit from the Paramount+ crime series “MobLand” appears to be greatly exaggerated, as the actor reportedly will be back if (but, really, when) the show gets renewed for a third season. But “MobLand” Season 2 needs to premiere first before that decision happens, and now its streamer has a new trailer for the series to drum up further hype.

As if a show that stars Hardy, Helen Mirren, and Pierce Brosnan (not to mention a slew of great UK character actors) really needs more hype. It’s all but assured “MobLand” will be greenlit for an additional season or more, especially with co-creator Guy Ritchie developing another, similar series for Prime Video. There’s no doubt that “MobLand,” much like the Harrigan crime family at its center, wants to measure up to, if not destroy, its competitors, right? In S2, however, the Harrigans may kill themselves before they do anyone else…

The Harrigans, heads of North London’s largest criminal empire, are on the brink of civil war, and their rivals are starting to notice. As tensions within the Harrigan family intensify, their ‘fixer’ Harry Da Souza is the only one that can keep them from falling apart.
Along with Hardy, Brosnan and Mirren, “MobLand” Season 2 also stars Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Teddie Allen, Emmett J. Scanlan, Johnny Flynn, Ophelia Lovibond, Janet McTeer, and Toby Jones.
“MobLand” is the brainchild of executive producer Ritchie, creator, writer, and exec producer Ronan Bennett, and writer and exec producer Jez Butterworth. Other executive producers include Hardy, Ivan Atkinson, Dean Baker, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, and Keith Cox. “MobLand” is a co-production between David C. Glasser‘s 101 Studios and Paramount Television Studios.
