There's nothing worse than that feeling just after the season finale of your favorite television show. Your anticipation for that final episode has been building for weeks, but when it's over, in comes that crushing feeling that you'll be without the show and the characters you love for many months ahead. For those whose favorite show is "Mad Men," that sentiment must have soon turned into agony when contract negotiations stretched out the series' absence from the usual 9 months to an almost unbearable 18 months.
But (*insert movie trailer voice*) the wait is almost over. There are only 11 days until Matthew Weiner's show returns, and AMC is letting us all know about it. The marketing for the two-hour premiere of season five is building, and the network have now updated their official site with photos of the show's cast. There's nothing groundbreaking here, just some typically attractive photographs of the characters gathered together, in various different pairings around the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce office, and some of them solo.
So there's Jon Hamm, Elisabeth Moss, Vincent Kartheiser, Christina Hendricks, John Slattery, Robert Morse and Jared Harris. No sign of January Jones in the group shot, but we imagine there is still more to come. Will Don really marry Megan? Is Peggy about to become a power player at the agency? Will Pete and Trudy continue to stay strong despite infidelity and a new child? Does anyone else really hope that Sal comes back? "Mad Men" will continue to look beautiful from March 25th through to the season finale on June 10th. [ComingSoon/JoBlo]
