NYFF 2022 Exclusive Teaser: Noah Baumbach, Claire Denis, Paul Schrader & More Lead The 60th Edition Of The Event

This year’s New York Film Festival is a special edition of the annual event. Celebrating the festival’s 60th year, NYFF is pulling out all the stops to bring New York City the very best cinema has to offer this year with an eclectic selection of filmmakers bringing their latest works. And as we begin to look ahead to one of our favorite events, here’s an exclusive look at the trailer for this year’s NYFF.

Leading the way in the slate of films playing at this year’s NYFF is Noah Baumbach’sWhite Noise” (which is also the Opening Night feature), Paul Schrader’sMaster Gardener,” James Gray’sArmageddon Time,” Claire Denis’Stars at Noon,” Park Chan-wook’sDecision to Leave,” and Ruben Östlund’sTriangle of Sadness.” The Centerpiece feature for 2022 is “All the Beauty and the Bloodshed” by documentary filmmaker Laura Poitras. And closing out the festival is none other than Elegance Bratton’sThe Inspection.”

“If there is one takeaway from this year’s Main Slate, it is cinema’s limitless capacity for renewal,” said Dennis Lim, artistic director, New York Film Festival. “Collectively, the films in the program suggest that this renewal takes many forms: breathtaking debuts, veterans pulling off new tricks, filmmakers of all stripes seeking new and surprising forms of expression and representation. We love the range and eclecticism of this group of films and are excited to share it with audiences.” 

The 60th NYFF begins on September 30 and runs until October 16. In addition to Film at Lincoln Center, there will be screenings all over New York City, including locations such as Alamo Drafthouse Cinema (Staten Island), BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) (Brooklyn), the Bronx Museum of the Arts (Bronx), Maysles Documentary Center (Harlem), and the Museum of the Moving Image (Queens).
