Olivia Munn Joins Steven Soderbergh's 'Magic Mike'

With all the hunky slabs of man meat set to appear in Steven Soderbergh‘s male stripper pic “Magic Mike,” it looks like the dudes will get some eye candy of their own. Sort of.

In what is likely the last bit of major casting for the film, “The Daily Show” correspondent, former “Attack of the Show!” host and rising actress Olivia Munn has joined the film, and she’ll be hanging off the arm of the lead played by Channing Tatum. Co-starring Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Riley Keough, Cody Horn and Gabriel Igelsias, and penned by Reid Carolin, the film will follow an experienced stripper (Tatum) who teaches a younger dancer (Pettyfer) how to hustle his wares on stage and off at the exotic club Xquisite, run by Dallas (McConaughey).

As this film gears up to shoot, Soderbergh’s “Contagion” is getting ready for a splashy premiere very shortly at the Venice Film Festival. You’ll have our thoughts on the film soon, but we will tell you to keep your ears open for Soderbergh’s voice at some point in the film. And Venice won’t be the only place “Contagion” will show off its wares, as it will also kick off the Zurich Film Festival on September 22nd as the opening film. Perhaps not so coincidentally, Laurence Fishburne is serving as the jury president (and no, Soderbergh’s film won’t be in competition). [Deadline]
