'The Passengers Of The Night' Exclusive Trailer: Charlotte Gainsbourg Stars In Mikhaël Hers' Acclaimed Drama

Mikhaël Hers is known for his precise, intentional, fulfilling films that effortlessly capture the beauty in the stories he is telling and his 2022 film, “The Passengers Of The Night,” is no different. And now, the filmmaker’s fans are going to get a chance to see the acclaimed film in theaters.

Premiering at the Berlin International Film Festival, this melancholic drama is set in Paris, France in 1981. Electoral celebrations are spilling onto the street where there is an air of hope and change, but Elisabeth isn’t celebrating. Her marriage is coming to an end and she is realizing she is on the cusp of finding herself having to support two teenage children and herself by herself. With this realization, she finds work as a late-night radio show host and meets a troubled teenager who she invites into her home, ultimately changing the course of her and her children’s lives. “The Passengers Of The Night,” which is being distributed by KimStim, focuses on revisiting the past in the light of the present, leaving you with a deep sense of nostalgia. 

Charlotte Gainsbourg gives an emotional performance as Elisabeth as she navigates her journey of self-discovery. Alongside Gainsbourg, the film stars Quito Rayon-Richter, Noée Abita, and Megan Northam.
