Ray Fisher Confirms Removal From 'The Flash' In New Complaint & WarnerMedia CEO Responds

Ray Fisher is back with even more comments in the ongoing battle between him and WarnerMedia. No, it’s not really between him and Joss Whedon, Geoff Johns, or Jon Berg anymore. It’s clear that Fisher’s target is now WarnerMedia and the studio’s allegiance to DC Films boss, Walter Hamada. And in a very lengthy tweet response to the news that he is out of “The Flash” film, he explains why he’s now targeting the executives behind “Justice League” and all of the DC superhero films.

He begins his latest tweet statement by explaining that he is officially out of “The Flash” and that Cyborg’s role in the upcoming film was supposed to be “much larger than a cameo.” But he ultimately is okay with being removed from the film because his war against Walter Hamada is “a much more important contribution to the world.”

So, what is his problem with Hamada? Well, Fisher goes on to explain that he believes Hamada interfered with the process of the actor reporting the issues he had with Whedon, Johns, and Berg while reshooting “Justice League.” Specifically, Fisher believes Hamada was impeding the investigation by trying to protect Johns, who the actor claims is close friends with the WarnerMedia executive.

Of course, we know that eventually Fisher’s claims were given to the higher ups above Hamada and a full investigation was conducted. (An investigation, mind you, that Fisher once described as “a fair, thorough, and protected process for witnesses,” when it concluded. However, Fisher is also upset that the result of the investigation is WarnerMedia will “quietly” let Johns leave eventually and that Whedon “exited” his only project with the company. Clearly, Fisher wanted more dramatic exits for both. (It’s also worth noting that a recent report claims that Johns isn’t going anywhere.)

Needless to say, when a high-profile actor publishes a two-page complaint about one of the executives at your studio, WarnerMedia CEO Ann Sarnoff had to make a statement. And in a statement via THR, she 100% backs Hamada and doesn’t believe the accusations lobbed against him by Fisher.

“I believe in Walter Hamada and that he did not impede or interfere in the investigation,” said Sarnoff. “Furthermore, I have full confidence in the investigation’s process and findings. Walter is a well-respected leader, known by his colleagues, peers, and me as a man of great character and integrity. As I said in Walter’s recent deal extension announcement, I’m excited about where he’s taking DC Films and look forward to working with him and the rest of the team to build out the DC Multiverse.”

Again, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention that this is yet another major statement by Fisher without any sort of proof or detail about the original claims against Joss Whedon, Geoff Johns, and Jon Berg. However, Fisher does say that Johns contributed to “blatant racism,” though he doesn’t ever give an example.
