Got a Tip?

Scott Eastwood Joins Dad In ‘Trouble With The Curve’

nullClint Eastwood doesn't mind keeping it in the family. His son, Scott Eastwood, is following in his dad's footsteps, paying his dues with roles in the upcoming "Leatherface 3D" and "Of Men and Mavericks," but Clint has lent him a hand in his career giving him small roles in "Flags of Our Fathers," "Gran Torino" and "Invictus." And now, father and son are going to team up again.

Scott Eastwood has come aboard "Trouble With the Curve," the baseball-centered drama that marks the feature debut of Clint's longtime pal and Malpaso Productions partner, Robert Lorenz. The Randy Brown-penned film centers on an aging baseball scout (Clint Eastwood), who is slowly going blind, on a final trip with his daughter to check out a hot prospect. Amy Adams will play his daughter who is along for the ride, with Justin Timberlake as an ex-pitcher-turned-scout who tries to woo her. John Goodman will play Eastwood's friend and fellow scout, who still believes the fading talent hound has the goods while Scott will portray a slumping young player that Clint had discovered and keeps his faith in.

This is all shaping up to be a pretty promising project, and there is a palpable melancholy just from the logline already. We're definitely looking forward to this, and filming is set to begin soon with a baseball playoff targeted release of September 28th on the calendar. [Variety]
